​​CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT

We offer a convenient contactless check-in and check-out process. You can self check in anytime after 3 PM on your arrival day, and check-out is by 10 AM on your departure day. As part of your booking confirmation, we’ll email you detailed directions to your tepee.

We strive to confirm all bookings within 24 hours.

ACCESS

We are conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from Matakana and less than 10 minutes from Omaha Beach. Our tepees are situated on our private property, where we live on-site. We offer three tepees for rent, which means you may encounter other guests unless all tepees are booked by a single group. The bathroom and outdoor lounge are shared between the guests.

While there is no direct vehicle access to the tepees, off-street parking is available within a short 2-minute walk. Please be aware that the gravel walking path is steep in some areas, so we recommend packing lightly and wearing appropriate footwear. You’re welcome to use our luggage trolley to help transport your belongings to and from the glamping tents.

Please note that while you may hear traffic from nearby Leigh Road, it is minimal during the nighttime hours.

COOKING FACILITIES

While there are no cooking or kitchen facilities at the tepees, you'll find a variety of fantastic dining and takeaway options nearby. As part of your booking confirmation, we’ll provide you with a list of recommended places to eat. Feel free to enjoy your takeaways at the picnic table in our outdoor lounge.

To keep insects at bay, please clean up after your meals and store food in sealed containers. We kindly ask that you do not bring BBQs or gas stoves.

POWER/ WIFI

Our tepees are off-grid. Enjoy solar-powered lights illuminating the pathways and bathrooms, while fairy lights create a magical ambiance inside the tents. Plus, we provide a torch and a power bank so you can keep your devices charged. While we don’t offer Wi-Fi, you can still stay connected with reliable cell phone reception.

HEATING

Our tents don’t feature heating, but don’t worry—we provide warm bedding to keep you snug. During the chillier months, we also offer electric blankets for added comfort.

GROUPS

We can accommodate a maximum of 6 people across 3 tents. If you’d like to book multiple tents for your group, please contact us directly. (Note that the search bar on our booking page only accommodates up to 2 guests.)

CHILDREN

We primarily host couples in our tepees, each designed to accommodate a maximum of two guests. For families seeking an unforgettable adventure, we recommend booking all three tepees to ensure plenty of space for everyone. Please reach out to us prior to booking to discuss your specific needs.

PETS

We have a cat and a friendly dog on the property. We may allow one dog per stay on a case-by-case basis. Please inquire with us before booking if you wish to bring your dog. We can provide our dog policy via email to ensure it meets your needs.​​​​

QUIET TIMES

Our tepees are located on the same property as our family home. We kindly ask that you respect our family, neighbours, and fellow guests during your stay. Please note that quiet hours begin at 10 PM , and parties or gatherings are not permitted.

VISITORS

No unregistered visitors or guests are permitted on our property at any time due to security reasons.

FIRE BAN

Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited inside the glamping tepees. If you smoke, kindly request an ashtray for use outside. Additionally, during the summer months, there may be a fire ban in effect due to dry vegetation.

SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS

 

​We reserve the right to cancel your booking if we determine that weather conditions are not suitable for staying in our tepees. While our glamping tents are waterproofed, they may leak during heavy or prolonged rain. We will contact you if we need to postpone or cancel your booking.

PACKLIST

We recommend bringing warm clothes, sturdy walking shoes, a flashlight, and insect repellent. If you tend to get cold easily or during the shoulder seasons, consider an extra blanket. If rain is in the forecast, please pack a raincoat or umbrella.

VALUABLES

Please do not leave your valuables inside your tepee when you are not present. While we consider our property to be safe, we cannot take responsibility for your belongings.

LOST PROPERTY

Lost property is kept for 7 days before we dispose of it.
